Review of Identical

Summary- Identical twins Kaeleigh and Raeanne struggle with life within a family where the mother is absent and the father is an alcoholic who is sexually abusing Kaeleigh.

I could not finish this book. The content was too much for me.

What I liked about this book- The writing was beautiful and very truthful in 1st person POV. It daringly took on a tough subject.

What I didn’t like- This book is very disturbing. I have read many other books about children being abused including A Child Called It. Not one has been as disturbing to me as this one. Particularly, Raeanne is so starved for attention that she is jealous that her dad is only abusing her sister. She wishes her dad would come to her bed.  It was much to disturbing for me to read all the way through although if I could have stomached the content I think it would have been a good read.
