Review of A Storm of Swords

Summary- Book 3 of the Game of Thrones books. This book covers all of what appeared season 3 on the television series by halfway through the books. I am really looking forward to next season because a ton of crazy stuff happens. Lots of changes, lots of deaths, lots of kings fighting to rule.

My rating A

This was the best book so far in the series. The author didn’t hold back at all. So many characters changed in this book and their true colors were revealed.

Jamie  became just a little less evil.  His father became the devil himself (but was dealt with appropriately). Danny learned secrets about her most trusted advisers.

The third season of the television show covers the first half of this book. So, that was a bit slow because I knew about many of the big things that were going to happen such as the “Red Wedding”. But, I was really into the second half of the book since I had no idea what was going to happen.

Also, I think book 3 was the most different from the television show.  There were many characters in the show who were different in the book. I thought Rob’s wife was better developed in the show. And Shea (Tyrione’s whore) was completely different in the show and the book.

This series is a masterpiece and this book was amazing. Everyone who likes fantasy should read it.
