Review of; An Honoring Death: A Primer for Families

Summary- A first person account of a woman and how she spends her mothers last days.

My rating C

This book was very good and touching but in some cases I felt it dragged on a bit more than I could take.

The book recounts a daughters last days with her mother. Her mother had a stroke and the daughter and her family must stand by and watch her mother deteriorate even as they make difficult decisions such as withdrawing nutrition.

The people in this book are very religious and I feel like it would be most appreciated by other people who are also very religious. From the title, I was under the impression this book would be more about instructions for the last weeks of a loved ones life. Instead, it comes off as more of a memoir.

It is a very touching read but it wasn’t what I was expecting when I bought it.
